Canadian June tractor sales up 10%, combine sales up 58%

According to the Association of Equipment Manufacturers’ monthly “Flash Report,” the sales of all tractors in Canada for June 2018 were up 10% from last year.

For the year, a total of 12,553 tractors were sold, which compares to 11,990 sold through June 2017.

For the month, two-wheel-drive smaller tractor (under 40 HP) were up 9% from last year, and 40 & under 100 HP were up 5%. Sales of two-wheel-drive 100+ HP were up 23% from last year, and four-wheel-drive tractors were up 52% for the month.

For the year, two-wheel drive smaller tractors (under 40 HP) were up 4% from last year, while 40 & under 100 HP were even. Sales of 2-wheel drive 100+ HP are up 15%, while 4-wheel drive tractors were up 3% for the year.

Combine sales were up 58% for the month. Sales of combines for the year totaled 831, an increase of 4% over the same period in 2017.
