Following the July 11 consultations with industry stakeholders relative to a potential adjustment of the butter support price, the Canadian Dairy Commission (CDC) will increase the support price for butter, effective Sept. 1, 2018. The impact of the price adjustment is expected to be $2.60 per hectolitre for P5 producers.
As a result of this decision, there will not be a price adjustment in February 2019. Producers can read CDC’s full pricing announcement in English and French by logging in to the producer dashboard on Dairy Farmers of Ontario’s website.
